Automatic Thoughts: What Are You Thinking?

Our ability to think is what separates us as a species.  But sometimes, as with every ability, things can go awry.

One of the most common problems that people experience is that of automatic thoughts – patterns of thinking that are often self-critical and destructive that seem to pop up automatically and go unquestioned by ourselves because at some point we got used to them.
